The Open Door Day was held at the Faculty of Civil Engineering University of Mostar yesterday (11 April 2019). On that occasion, for our guests, secondary school students and their teachers, we organized an exhibition of works by students of the University Undergraduate Study of Architecture and Urban Planning, a lecture on bridges in Mostar and bridge modelling competition. This competition has been successfully organized for the sixth consecutive year now, together with the International Association of Civil Engineering Students IACES OG Mostar and the Student Union of the Faculty of Civil Engineering University of Mostar, and has a competitive and entertaining character. Our goal was to promote civil engineering and architecture among young people, through socialization and entertainment to encourage them to get involved in technical activities and focus them on engaging in engineering work. Seventeen teams from nine secondary schools participated in the competition, and they were wholeheartedly assisted by our faculty's students. After the strength of each model was tested, the winners were declared:
1st place: Secondary School of Antun Branko Šimić, Grude
2nd place: Secondary Civil Engineering School of Juraj Dalmatinac, Mostar
3rd place: Secondary School of father Slavko Barbarić, Čitluk
